Crazy Collection Nail Colours

I recently received this set of the new Hot Looks nail varnishes from Collection. Keep reading to find out what I think of these varnishes and some looks I have created with them ...

I have to say I am really impressed with these nail products. The colours really stand out on the nail and are PERFECT for creating bright nail art looks. You only need to apply around 2 coats to achieve an opaque base on the nail and the colours are very true to how they look in the bottle. Also with the varnishes drying very quickly (60 seconds according to the bottle) they are perfect for those of us in a rush but wanting a wash of colour over the nails for the day!

I have 8 colours, however in the collection there are just under 30, so you are bound to find at least one colour you like. They are also priced very affordably at £1.99 so are perfect for those beauty buyers on a budget!

Below are 2 nail art looks which I have created using some of the collection polishes...

I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for an affordable polish with a vibrant and fun colour to it. If you do purchase these I hope you love them as much as me and enjoy creating nail art looks with them!!!

Thank you for reading :)

Lip Crayon Loving

I recently purchased this lip crayon from the brand seventeen sold within boots stores. Keep reading to find out exactly what I think about the product ...

There are so many things I love about this product! I went to London the other day and felt this was the perfect opportunity to put this product to the test. The lip crayon wore evenly throughout the day and left my lips feeling moisturised. I only applied the crayon twice throughout the whole day and when on the move I like to have a product which is easy to apply, and this lip crayon certainly is!

I feel this product is perfect as a cheaper alternative to the more expensive lip colour balm/ chubby stick from clinique. With the chubby stick being priced at £17 and the seventeen lip crayon £4.99 the difference in price is certainly noticeable. The only downside to this product is the colour range, as there are only 5 shades to choose from. I got the lip crayon in the colour Bold, which as you can see from the image above is a orange shade. The image below shows how the colour transfers to the lip. This image was taken after applying one coat of the crayon to the lips. You can add more coats over the top to create a more intense orange colour. You can also add a lip gloss over the top to create more colour intensity, however I preferred to just apply the crayon by itself.

As I mentioned above the lip crayon can be purchase from the seventeen stand in Boots stores or alternatively you can purchase online at:

This product is perfect for someone on a budget and also someone who is on the go and wants a lip colour to apply quickly and with ease. I hope you enjoy this product as much as me!!

Marvellous Maybelline Gel Eyeliner

In the past I have always struggled to find an eyeliner that lasts the whole day and doesn't budge. Eyeliner always manages to smudge into my crease area of my eye as the day goes on and I am no longer left with a sharp line of eyeliner. Recently I discovered the Maybelline Lasting Drama gel eyeliner, after reading about it on other beauty blogs and seeing it being used in Youtube make up tutorials, and this really is the product which has solved my previous eyeliner problems.

Unlike other eyeliners I have used in the past this gel formula lasts the whole day on my eyes with barely any smudging. One of my favourite looks is a winged out, cat eye effect on my top lid and this product really helps me to achieve a look like this that lasts throughout the entire day. As you can see from the images above the gel eyeliner comes in a small glass jar style pot which gives you a generous amount of product and is really easy to chuck into a make up bag and take it where ever you may need. It also comes with a handy little brush which I have found to make application of the eyeliner reasonably easy.

Some people struggle to achieve a straight line with a gel eyeliner but I can honestly say I have LOVED the application of the product and have been able to easily achiever a winged out eyeliner look which I personally love to wear. I would highly recommend this product to anyone confident enough to apply a gel eyeliner and also to those of you who like me are struggling to find a smudge proof liner.

Thank you very much for reading and if you purchase this product I hope you enjoy it as much as I have !!!!

Cath Kidston Inspired Nail Art

This week I decided to try quite a detailed nail art look based on a Cath Kidston style flower print. Below is the look I created and if you want to find out how I achieved this keep reading...

What will you need?

You will need a variety of different coloured nail varnishes depending on the colour flowers and base you want. I used varnishes in baby and pale blue, purple, green, mint, dark pink and light pink. You will also need a nail art tool (alternatively a hair grip or cocktail stick would work fine) and a piece of paper to blob the nail varnish onto in order to easily pick up the varnish to apply to the nails.

Step by Step Guide...

Step 1: After applying the blue base coat and waiting for it to fully dry I took the dark pink nail varnish and created rough rose shapes. I added two of these to each nail.

Step: Next I added the purple flower shapes, roughly adding an odd circle shape to achieve this. I added two or three to each nail.

Step 3: Next using the mint colour I added lines coming out of the flowers in order to create leaves. I also added a dot of the pale blue in the centre of the purple flowers.

Step 4: Using a paler pink nail varnish I roughly added this over the top of the dark pink roses, mainly in the centre and around the edges.

Step 5: After completing step 4 I was not happy with the leaves as I didn't think they stood out enough. Therefore I went over the top of the mint colour I previously applied with a brighter green colour.

Finished Look: Once you have completed all steps wait for your nails to dry and add a top coat over the top to prevent chipping.

Hope you like this look as much as I do and good luck creating this look yourselves!!
